Online Worship
You can see the different ways to join us online for live worship or on-demand here.
What should I expect?
When you worship with us at 9:30 AM (Wedgewood), you can expect an opening 10-15 minute set of organ-led or live band music and a time of greeting, a welcome & call to worship, additional organ-led or live band music, prayer, music by the choir, and a 25-35 minute sermon. Our typical service is around 60 minutes.
When you worship with us at 11:15 AM (First Church), you can expect a welcome & call to worship, organ-accompanied singing, prayer, and music by the choir with a 25-35 minute sermon. Our typical service is around 60 minutes.
What should I wear?
Come in what makes you comfortable. You will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and suit jackets.
Where should I park?
Both Wedgewood and Akron First have parking lots attached to the building.
Accessible parking is available in the main parking lots at both Wedgewood and Akron First as well as in the circular driveway off of Wedgewood Dr.
Where should I go in?
At Wedgewood, there is a north and south entrance off of each parking area. At First Church, enter through the main northern doors closest to the parking lot.
Both churches are fully accessible buildings, with accessible parking, accessible restrooms, and elevators available.
What about music?
At our 9:30 AM service (Wedgewood), our worship service incorporates a blend of traditional and modern styles of music. Often, the first half of the service will have organ-led hymns while the second half will have band-led music through guitar, keyboard, and drums.
At our 11:15 AM service (First Church), our worship service embraces the traditional style, with hymns and special music throughout the service being organ and choir-led.
What about giving?
We do not take an offering during our services, but we extend an opportunity for individuals to give before/after the service as well as online. If you are new to church or worshiping with us for the first time, we don’t expect you to give. Giving is an opportunity for our regular attenders to respond to God through their generosity while investing in the mission of our local churches and global ministries.
What about my kids?
Wedgewood offers a children’s ministry for potty-trained toddlers through early elementary during our 9:30 AM service. Your children will join you for the first part of the worship service and are later dismissed to their Sunday School class during the service.
Youth Group is available for teens and young adults on Sunday evenings.
